I don't understand how my classmate does it. She is in her late twenties, maybe early thirties and has 3 kids. She is in her first semester of nursing school with me and she is pregnant. Like really pregant....about to pop. She waddles around during clinicals keeping up very well and still keeps her family going while studying. We had a big exam last week, a bigger one tomorrow, and she is being induced on Monday. She said that the last time she had a kid she was in labor for 30 hours, and at the moment she is having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. We have our biggest exam next Friday, about 3 days after she is suppose to be having this baby, and she says 'oh I will be there to take it!' What?!?! You are crazy woman. I am hesitant to even get my flu shot right now because I don't want to come down with a mild fever right before a test from the shot. I'm a wimp.
Today was fun because I worked at the Student Health Fair giving flu shots to students. They had been doing flu shots for students at a few locations this past week but they kept running out of them. So when I arrived at the Union a half an hour before it was time to start shooting people up, I was suprised (and frightened) at the large line of people already waiting. The first 100 students were free so I guess that's why they were there so early, but when I walked past the line to go to the bathroom, a girl pulled me aside and rather frantically whispered "Pssttt...if I give you $20 will you pocket a flu shot for me because I have to go to class right now and I need one!!! My immune system sucks!! Please!!" Umm...no....that is so illegal and wrong on so many levels. Would you like me to steal some OxyContin for you while I'm at it? Geez....I guess this is the beginning of a lot of people trying to get medicine from me.

So you're saying you will NOT get me a stash of vicodin?
I'm still waiting on my stash of valium.
Good - don't take any crap, Nurse Rebecca!
