Happy Birthday Sarah!!

Oh snap now it's Sarah's birthday. Crazy Sarah. I'm just joshin...but she is pretty crazy...crazy awesome. Even though Sarah and I have a pretty big age gap that was very apparent growing up, the gap has seemed to completely vanish when I turned 18. I do have to recall some fond memories of her when I was younger and we weren't as good friends. One instance that I thought of immediately is when she saved my life. That's right, Sarah saved my life by performing the Heimlich maneuver on me when I stuffed what I believe was an entire piece of bread in my mouth because I didn't want to eat it but Sarah was babysitting while my parents were gone and said I had to. She squeezed that turd right out of me. And I will be forever grateful.

Sarah is one of the best people that I like to call to get motivation and self esteem. She was particularly helpful during a very long and hard breakup, and when my future looked very dark and narrow, she opened it up and brought light into it. She cried with me on the phone for a long time, then made me laugh, and then told me how everything would work out with complete confidence. When I got rejected from nursing school originally, she was almost as pissed and upset as I was. But when I called her on the morning I found out I actually did get in, the scream (yes it was a full blown scream) of joy was probably heard for miles. And that's the kind of sister and best friend everyone needs. Someone to always call to laugh with you, cry with you, scream with you, and listen to you. Happy Birthday to a fabulous sister and best friend!!

That's kind of a scary picture. Thanks! And *I'm* crazy?! Coming from you...wow. Ha! Thanks for the shout out. That morning you called me about the nursing program was awesome.

Haaaa I forgot about you choking. I can still picture that expelled lump of bread sitting on the kitchen table.

Did I know about the choking? Or was that one of those "don't tell mom about what happened while I was babysitting" things? Oh, and that took guts to post that picture. I don't know if I could have done it.
