So close...but yet so far

At work today, I was conversing with a fellow U of U student that just got into their nursing program. It was his second time applying, and the year before he had a 3.7 but didn't have any leadership experience so he didn't get in because of that. And he's a dude. I told him I didn't get in, but my letter had said something about being on an alternate list. He told me that was really good because APPARENTLY I am one out of 12 that is on the list, and who knows what number I am on that. So I was SO close to getting in, and my only hope now is that someone who did get in either gets pregnant and decides they can't do both, gets married to someone rich and decides they don't need a career and moves away, or maybe gets kicked out in the first week of class. So keep your fingers crossed everyone, there still might be a freaking chance. But even if I don't get in this year, that gives me way more confidence for next year that I could get in. Yay!
And here is where I will tell you short, stupid news:
-I'm going out to dinner with my co-workers on Friday. That sentence makes me sound so old and grown-up!
-I joined 24 hour fitness for a year. (Prepaid deal) I am so excited for spinning class tomorrow!
-Doctors are calling me by my first name now. They aren't even obligated to talk to me but now we are like conversing and stuff!
-Nurse Practitioner school is apparently a breeze to get into and my co-workers said they haven't even heard of people not getting in...so that goal of mine is very realistic.
-Spinach cheese ravioli from Costco is pretty much my favorite food.
-Prince Caspian was awesome...and I finished a medium popcorn during it while my friend could only eat half of a small...I'm not going to lie, I quickly threw away the empty tub because really, who can eat that much popcorn? It is like the Ostler family has been bred to eat massive amounts of popcorn. I even had a bag of popcorn (94% fat free kind though) an hour before we went to the movie because I was going to try and resist the popcorn at the movies because I'm trying to save. Didn't work, and you know, I don't really feel that bad because it was DELICIOUS. I wonder how much popcorn I could eat in a day if I entered some sort of popcorn eating contest.
-My sisters and my Mom are the best...but they have taken being the best to a whole new level recently and I can't imagine having a better family.
THE END
