Toshnit! Privet! (my new Russian words)

It's 4:30 AM and I am at work. I only have 6 patients and am training someone so pretty much I have been lounging in the break room on the phone or on the computer...it's been fabulous. One of my patients is an angry Russian man who can't speak English. Apparently he hates everyone except me. He even hit a nurse earlier today, but I seem to make him happy. Except he wanted me to try his homemade Russian food and wouldn't stop yelling Russian phrases until I tried one. It's always scary to eat something a patient has brought, but I have not been poisoned so all is well. It made him very happy to see me eat it...and I can now say some words in Russian. Earlier on my shift I floated to Rehab where I had to watch an 18 year old male patient and make sure he didn't pull out any tubes. It was sad to see though because there were pictures on the wall of what he looked like before the semi hit him and he was quite the attractive kid. He didn't form very many coherent sentences, but one thing he said to me over and over again was 'pretty eyes, pretty eyes.' He was sweet, and he should gain most function back in time, so hopefully things will turn out well for him.
I have moved into my own apartment now and it is very exciting. I can pee with the door open. But that's not the only perk, my big bed with the memory foam mattress topper from Costco that Sarah so brilliantly recommended is pretty much the highlight of my day when I get to climb into bed. But moving sucks, and I'm going to have to do this about 2 more times this summer and packing up to travel different places.
I also talked to Jefferson tonight for like an hour. It was really great to catch up with him and he is getting an internship with Northwestern Mutual financial group as a financial advisor, so good for him!
Oh and I have developed allergies to Utah all of a sudden. It sucks, and I had to go to Smith's at 5:30 AM the other morning because I couldn't sleep they were so bad. Anyone know how long allergies last? I thought allergies were typically in the months of March and April. Ugh!

I thought summer was always the big allergy season, but I don't know. Glad you are learning a new language in wich you can insult people (schweinhunde!).

Also, do you have your OWN apartment? Or are you sharing with people? And do these people appreciate you peeing with the door open?

I pretty much hate the month of May when my allergies are the worst.
