"Now isn't this better than dieting!"

I think everyone knows where that quote comes from, except probably Laura, but for everyone else, you have grueled through the Firm video Volume 1 with Susan Harris. I have done it 14 times in the last 3 weeks and I could hold my own gun show with the muscles I'm building. Okay not quite that extreme, but seriously, I am getting so much muscle it's really fun. And I'm trying to eat better because I've kind of lost my will to be healthy this year. I've put on a few pounds, which I just like to call my winter warmth, but it's getting warmer so I need to drop a few pounds in the next little while. Randi and I do the video very consistently and it is so fun to have someone do it with you. Of course, we both hate Susan Harris and are convinced she's evil, but at least there are results. Randi loves it because before she was obsessed with Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda, so she loves the 80's style of the video. The tape is wearing out sadly though. And maybe one day, when I have memorized every move and everything she says, I can make my own video and keep doing it. Now that'd be interesting. Oh and there is a new diet soda out, Diet Dr. Pepper's Chocolate Cherry soda. Has anyone had it? Randi is OBSESSED with it, and I do like it, but it's very weird the first time you try it. It takes like when you bite into a cherry tootsie pop. It's a limited edition so get out there fast, but I'm quite positive Sarah and Allison have already had it.
Tonight I think I'm going to dinner and seeing "The Other Boleyn Girl" with Ryan. I really am starting to feel bad for him. The movies that have been coming out lately are just not for guys. We've seen 27 dresses, Definitely Maybe and we almost saw P.S. I love you but we got there too late so we saw Mr. Majorium's Wonder Emporium. Mr. Majorium's was probably the worst movie I have ever seen. We saw it in the cheap theaters and we look around us and the average age there was about 8 years old and then parents. We couldn't stop laughing at how out of place we were, but once the movie started, it was just ridiculous. Dustin Hoffman made a fool out of himself. Does he normally talk with a lisp and try to act like a gay man? I kept trying to convince Ryan that we should leave halfway through, but he insisted that we stay because it was so bad it was entertaining. (He gets a kick out of really really bad movies, go figure.) Once it was over and we got up to leave, I was trying to walk while clutching my stomach with laughter, squeezing my legs together so I didn't pee, and my head was bent down because my whole body was tight from laughing so hard. People probably thought I was a lunatic, but it was a hilarious night. We got Hogi Yogi, which always reminds me of road trips to Utah, and Ryan said he had never even been to a Hogi Yogi until he met me. Sad! Anyways, I feel bad for Ryan and all the other males out there right now because there's been a lack in quality movies. I do really want to see Ms. Pettigrew, but I'll leave that to go see with Mom over Spring Break. (Sound good?)
Last night, there was a Crimson Night at the Student Union. The U puts on these parties at the school where there's a dance floor and a DJ, food, games, and different booths that go along with the theme. For example, last time it was a glow-in-the-dark theme and booths were set up for glow in the dark tattoos, glow in the dark bowling, etc. I think these events are really fun because I love any place that I can dance. So last night I went with a bunch of my guy friends that I met in the dorms freshman year. They are all really good dancers too. We pretty much become the center of the dance floor because everyone else dances boring (people just passively shaking their booties) but we bring the entertainment. We like to make up new dances like the sprinkler, but better. You have to see us in action because we can make a dance out of any every day activity. (i.e. dusting, putting on makeup, shining your shoes, etc)
And on one last note, I have decided to step down from my position in the sorority as VP Recruitment. No one's mad, and my advisor and the president just want me to do what will make me the happiest and they realize that I did Finance last year, which was a lot of work, and it was good that I did the position so far, but if I get into the nursing program I won't have time.
And on an even laster note, I am watching Flight of the Conchords and I just finished the Bowie episode and I think it's my favorite.

You are certainly inspiring with the FIRM video. I did #4 on Monday (beginners, don't use weights!)and I could hardly move I was so sore. So I rode my bike on Tuesday and I couldn't even roll over in bed without pain. I walked it of over the next few days, so I'll try to catch up with you!

1. I haven't been doing my Firms as often as I should (once a week probably isn't good enough, huh?), but I only have the new ones. I still think of you and giggle every time she says "Three knree repreter!"

2. Still haven't tried Diet Chocolate Cherry Dr Pepper, but thanks for the reminder.

3. We're about to watch Flight of the Conchords, too!

Heh, you are correct in noting that I do not know any quotes from FIRM videos. However, I did buy a yoga mat and DVD, so I have been doing that in my apartment.

I think it's funny that Bowie is your favorite, that is like the weirdest one! But there are some great moments... like Jemaine's song about Bret and of course the Bowie visions. My favorite is the next one - Drive By.

Oh - Bowie is the WEIRDEST one. Weeeeeeeeeeird.

Also, I have not tried that particular Dr. Pepper. I'm loving Coke Vanilla Zero right now. Mmmmm.

And also, I always quietly swore at Susan when she said that because, DUH, I was doing that stupid video AND dieting. Stupid ho.

But I'm not dieting right now. Now I'm getting as huge as possible so at the end of the year I can say, "I lost 80 pounds this year!" and be awesome. That's a good way to look at it, right?
